Snowball

September 7, 2011

Snowball has been a doll today!  We had some games in the yard and I have been enforcing her potty training and the “Come command”.  She has sure attached herself to Steve.  I am wondering if her previous owner was a man that she had attached herself to.  I do hope she bonds with me, as she will be mostly my dog.  She is such a jewel!

Hi Angie!
Just a short update!  Snowball now comes and goes at will through her pet door!  So she has free access to the outside.  She discovered a frog this evening and that was great fun to chase him.  She loves playing retrieve with both Steve and I and she has now bonded with us both.  Yes!!  She is such a joy!  And sooooooooooo smart!  We would love her anyway, she has such a sweet, loving nature.  She had her first bath with us and WOW, I am wondering if she has had many of those.  She did not like it much, but we got through it and I know each time will get better.  We have a slow easy brushing a couple of times a day and at first did not want me to do that, but in just this short time, she loves it.

Thank you so much for all of the tireless work you do,  Angie, and for saving Snowball for us.  It is a perfect fit.

Hi Angie and Staff!

Can't remember if I sent these last photos or not.  Yes!  Yes!  Yes!  She is an angel!  We love her so much!  She now goes outside on her own to "potty" and no accidents in the housed.  What a love she is!  She loves to hop up on the bed in the morning and push her nose deep into my neck giving me a morning hug!  The she stretches out her neck by my mouth for her morning kiss!  She is so sweet!  She continues to love her walks and retreiving her ball and toys.  She has adapted so well to us.  She has lost most of her fears except when there is a loud unfamiliar noise and then she just barks.  Her loud bark is such a surprise coming from such a small package.  It is a good alarm for us.  She barks very little, though and never long.  She is going to be having her blood work done this week and her teeth cleaned, since that is what our Vet recommended.  She is gaining weight, but still a bit underweight our Vet thought, so we are hoping she will gain that little bit that would bring her up to a good weight for her body conformation.  She seems to have a pretty good appetite so she should gain that soon.

Again, we cannot thank you enough for our little gem!

    Regards,
            Kathy
