Mikey
June 2011
Mikey was a special needs doggie, as he had problems gaining weight and needed some Vet treatment to find out what was wrong with his health. He was in a foster home and they just fell in love with Mikey and decided to adopt him! YAY for Mikey, and what a wonderful family to take him on, even with some health issues. They are willing to accept him just as he is! Mikey was diagnosed with diabetes which is also causing him to lose some eyesight, and he also has some pancreas issues When Angie last saw him, he looked so happy and content and his coat was very shiny. He was still very thin but definitely had gained weight. His eye sight is failing but he seems to know to stay close to his person to compensate for his disability. The vet says getting on the right treatment should improve his health. She also said it was very rare for such a young dog to have diabetes. How wonderful we have people that look beyond the issues and look at the doggie………
Mikey is one lucky guy!
