Mannie & Romeo

April 2011

Hi Angie - We hope you are well.  We think about you often, and what an amazing job you do.

Romeo and Mannie are just brilliant little boys and we love them to bits.  It's been 4-1/2 months now.  Our Shih Tzu, Roxy, also loves them and we are a happy family.

Roxy plays with Romeo quite often.  Mannie is not at all dependent on Romeo now, but still nibbles his face!  They are affectionate little guys and Mannie really makes us laugh at times.

I am trying to introduce a little training and Romeo has the "sit" down pretty well - of course that involves food in some way.  When I try to get Mannie to sit - he knows there is a treat involved, he gets down on his front paws as if he's going to play.  It's pretty funny to see.  His coat just about disappeared when we first got him, but it has all come back now and is quite luxurious.

They are still good mates and do have the occasional argument - usually if they are playing and Mannie holds on to Romeo's tale and shakes it.  Romeo then gets upset and they have a little fight, but then when that's over, they are fine with each other again.  They are both using our doggie door and love their regular walks.  No more mistakes in the house - thank heaven!!

I've attached a couple of photos taken about 2 months ago.  Mannie's coat was just starting to come back to what it used to be, I guess. The second one is Romeo coming in via the doggie door and Mannie saw the camera and turned his back to me.  He must be tired of having his picture taken!

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that adopting these two little boys is one of the best things we have ever done - thanks to you for your patience.

Update:
November 26, 2011

Hi Angie - we were thinking about you today and remembering that it's been almost a year since we adopted Mannie & Romeo. We are wondering if you are still giving your heart and soul to the HHP cause.

I have attached a couple of photos of the boys and wanted to let you know that they are the most wonderful companions ever.

So sweet and loving - and demanding of attention!
