He is a very handsome white and brown tabby cat, full of love and ready to be your new housemate. Buffy is a very big kitty, almost 30 pounds! His elderly owner can no longer take care of him, so if we can't find a home soon he will be put down.  We don't want that to happen!.

Jewel

Sept. 2, 2009

I just wanted to send you an email to give you a huge update on my girl, Jewel.

I adopted Jewel from you in December of 2003. She was a scared 11 week old German Shepherd girl that had been abused by her previous owner. I had to lift her into the car to take her home, carry her up the stairs and she immediately hid under the table for 3 days after getting home. She peed whenever you got near her, didn't like stairs and was nervous in the yard.

Well it has been almost 6 years! She loves going for rides on the 4 wheelers, camping, swimming and playing. She now has a sister to share her days with (another rescued dog). Jewel sleeps with our daughter every night (she sleeps on her own twin bed). I also make both of them their food and dog treats. I had never had a German Shepherd before and fell in love with the breed (now I am a co-founder for a rescue) and Jewel is a foster sister to each dog we bring in. She helps them come out of their shell and helps them act properly in the house. We call her the school master (my other dog is the fun aunt) and she takes her role seriously.

As well she loves children. We take walks and she greets the kids at the school while waiting for my daughter. We even had a young boy who was scared of German Shepherds come over to pet her. His mother came over with tears in her eyes and thanked me for helping him. I let her know it wasn't me it was the girls - they both got pets and loves from the mother as well.

Thank you for saving Jewel and entrusting her to me. She has made a difference in so many lives (human and animal).
