Griffin

The girl in the gray top is Shannon (our 4th child)... I'm the one in the black top / short hair. :) We took turns rocking Griffin. He's not spoiled... too much. ;)

Hi Angie...
Here are a few pics for you...the groomer fixed my clipping job. :) A couple of the pics don't do him justice, because he was cocking his head... he really looks cute, though. What do you think of him sitting up ? He can finally sit up long enough to take a photo... still a bit wobbly, but he's working on it... just has to grow a little stronger. :)
He's so wonderful, Angie... I wish we could have another one, but it's difficult to bond with the dogs when there are too many... three is plenty, I guess. :) Anyway, he's so intelligent... follows me everywhere. Even if he's chewing on a bone, if I move to another room, he picks up his bone and lays down wherever I am. He looks me in the eyes... wondering what's going to happen next. And, by the way... those baby gates we have around the house... uh... Griffin jumps them. :) Even our Irish Wolfhound never jumped them ! Geez ! :) Joey (the Border Collie mix) long ago figured out how to open the gates herself. She bites on the push-button-knob-thing, lifts up the latch, then pulls up the entire gate from the bottom, to take it off the edge it sits on... then just pulls it towards her as she walks out...I suppose Griffin will figure that out soon enough, as well ! :)
Our daily "routine" goes like this... Griffin goes to bed in his cage (wire mesh) in our bedroom at night (we have towels in there and it's real soft... he likes it). Then, around 5 or 5:30am, he wakes up when my alarm goes off... Steve takes him out, and when he comes back in, he's allowed on our bed with us (and Miles). He snuggles in real close and we sleep like that for about 15 minutes. At that time I get up, and Steve stays in bed... all three of them still sleeping. I take my shower, get ready for work, wake Steve and the dogs up, and Steve lets the big dogs out and then feeds them all. I leave for work by 6:45am or so, and Steve usually leaves around 8:30 and takes Griffin with him. On Thursday and Friday, Steve doesn't leave until 11:15 or so, and I'm home by 4pm.
We have a friend living with us (think I told you), and he lets the dogs out before leaving for work at 2:30, so the dogs aren't alone too long... even though they could be, because they're all very good... Joey is loose in the house, and Miles and Griffin are in their cages. :)
We're babysitting for our granddaughters tonight (2 and 1)... have to go, one of them is helping me type... whoa ! ;)
Thanks again for everything ! Hope you like the pics ! :)

Here are a few more pics taken before we went to bed for the night (earlier this week). I'm glad they like each other. :) Joey was already in her own bed for the night (in her bedroom). :) I'll send pics of their bedroom sometime. :)
Right now Miles still sleeps on our bed... Griffin in a wire cage in our room with us... and Joey is in a nice wood dog bed (not a cage) in the dog bedroom. ha, ha ! Kind of like having kids again ! ...actually, like our kids never left ! :)
Take care, Angie... thanks again for everything !
