Buttercup and Tripod
June 2010

Hi Angie -- the kids are doing just fine! Don't think they are enjoying the warm weather much though, because they still haven't been allowed outdoors. We are going to try to keep them as indoor cats. So far they don't seem inclined to go out. The building they live in is a good size and a comfortable temperature. They have three rooms to prowl in and a big south-facing window where they sleep a lot of the time. Everybody has found a favorite place to sleep. They have caught about a half dozen mice so they are earning their room and board!  lol lol lol We don't know who is the mouser -- one cat or all -- we only see the little corpses!

Tripod is a great cat -- he has such personality. He loves to have his tummy rubbed. Butterscotch (who is now known as Buttercup) is the most friendly cat either of us has ever seen. She loves to be petted and gives sweet little kitty kisses. She came through her spay with no problems and is looking good. She is getting a handle on keeping all her long white fur clean and has put on some weight. She was very thin and boney. Everybody gets along and there are no squabbles. Tripod and Buttercup love to play and "rassle." Pretty Kitty is finally coming around. I think she was afraid to trust again. She doesn't hide much anymore and has found a favorite window place that is hers alone. She allows us to pet her and has started to turn her tummy up just a little -- a good sign.

We are extremely pleased with all of them and are so glad we could take three home.
